Terms of Use

Just Rise Academy (“JRA”, “we”, “us” or “our”)

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our websites, mobile apps, learning platforms, live sessions, and any content, products, or services we provide (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Who May Use the Services

  • You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country).

  • If you are under 18 (or a minor in your jurisdiction), you may use the Services only with the consent and supervision of a parent/guardian who accepts these Terms.

  • You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2) Accounts & Access

  • You may need an account to access courses, cohorts, or communities.

  • Do not share your login or allow others to use your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

  • We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Services at any time with or without notice.

3) Courses, Certificates & Outcomes

  • Enrollment gives you a personal, limited, non-transferable license to view the course/content you purchased or were granted access to.

  • Certificates of completion (if offered) reflect successful completion of course criteria defined by JRA and are not an academic degree or professional license.

  • We do not guarantee job placement, salary outcomes, or specific results.

4) Content & Intellectual Property

  • All materials provided through the Services—including videos, live session recordings, slide decks, assignments, quizzes, code samples, datasets, templates, logos, trademarks, and branding—are owned by JRA or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.

  • Your license: We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the content for your own learning.

  • Restrictions: You may not copy, record, download at scale, redistribute, resell, publicly display, or create derivative works from our content unless we give you written permission. Classroom or corporate redistribution requires a separate license.

5) Your Submissions & Projects

  • You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g., projects, assignments, comments).

  • You grant JRA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, and display your submissions for learning delivery, assessments, internal analytics, showcasing student work, and marketing (we’ll credit you where feasible).

  • Do not upload content you do not have the right to share, or that is illegal, infringing, or harmful.

6) Live Sessions & Recordings

  • Live classes, workshops, and doubt-clearing sessions may be recorded for enrolled learners, quality assurance, or marketing. By participating, you consent to being recorded.

  • If you do not wish to appear, keep camera/mic off and avoid sharing personal data during sessions.

7) Payments, Taxes & Refunds

  • Prices are shown before purchase and may change. You agree to pay any applicable taxes, gateway fees, or currency conversion costs.

  • Refunds: Unless a specific course page states otherwise, requests must be made within 3 days  of purchase and before consuming a substantial portion of the course (e.g., less than 20% of lessons completed or before attending the second live session). Downloaded resources are non-refundable.

  • For cohorts, bootcamps, or events with limited seats, refund windows may be shorter or may offer deferrals instead—see the course page.

8) Prohibited Uses (Be Nice & Legal)

You agree not to:

  1. Share, sell, or transfer your account;

  2. Circumvent access controls, copy/record content, or remove notices;

  3. Upload malware, spam, or content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or discriminatory;

  4. Harass instructors or learners, or disrupt classes/communities;

  5. Use the Services for cheating, plagiarism, or academic dishonesty;

  6. Reverse engineer, scrape, or use automated means to access the Services, except as allowed by law.

9) Third-Party Services & Links

We may integrate tools (e.g., Zoom, Google, GitHub, WhatsApp/Slack/Discord). Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services. We are not responsible for third-party content or actions.

10) Community Guidelines

  • Respect others. Keep discussions professional and inclusive.

  • No unsolicited promotions or job solicitations unless a space is explicitly designated for that.

  • We may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms or our guidelines.

11) DMCA / Copyright Complaints

If you believe content infringes your rights, send a notice to:

Include: your contact info, work claimed infringed, URL(s) of allegedly infringing content, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act.

12) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your data. By using the Services, you consent to those practices.

13) Disclaimers

  • The Services and content are provided “as is” and “as available.”

  • We make no warranties—express or implied—about accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

  • Training and guidance are educational; we do not provide professional or legal advice.

14) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JRA and its directors, employees, and instructors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to JRA for the course giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the event.

15) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold JRA harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

16) Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law, or if required by law or security concerns. You may stop using the Services at any time.

17) Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective when posted. Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

18) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Republic of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Disputes: The parties will first attempt to resolve disputes informally within 30 days. If unresolved, disputes will be finally settled by arbitration in Chennai, India, in English, by one arbitrator, under the rules of DIAC . You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at that seat for any matters not subject to arbitration.
Consumers with non-waivable rights under local law retain those rights.
